Inner Joy Foundation

We first visited Junagadh, Gujarat, India in 2004, where we became inspired by the work being undertaken by Shree Muktanandji Bapu. We were impressed by the efficiency with which numerous large projects were being run, that we felt we wanted to become more involved. We began supporting the projects through BEHT (Reg. Charity No.: 1072109, a UK based charity), and took part in events and volunteered our services. We then also began to arrange fund raising and awareness building events ourselves.

It then became apparent that in order to be able to help a larger number of people we would have to increase the scale of work undertaken and therefore the decision was made to start up Inner Joy Foundation. Although we have been working in conjunction with BEHT, we are now able to focus on particular projects, initiate different developments and organise more events.

We are currently helping under-privileged girls in India to receive an education. We have already assisted in the building of the hostel itself and currently  413 girls have moved in, however, we are now working on obtaining sponsors from this country to financially support the board and education of at least 100 of those girls who are orphaned or underprivileged.

We have also assisted the elderly in India by extending their accommodation to enable a greater number of residents to benefit from the services provided. Future plans are to help western society to address problems particular to them, which occurs despite the wealth and opportunity that is available.

We would also like you to be aware that all the work carried out by the trustees, members and supporters of Inner Joy Foundation is on a voluntary basis, therefore 100% of all sponsorship money and all profits from fundraising events go directly towards our projects.
